Bridging Yoga and Ayurveda: A Transformative 50-Hour Journey to Balance and Wellness

Ayurveda and Yoga: A Powerful Partnership

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences, each offering unique yet complementary tools for healing and wellness. While Yoga emphasizes physical, mental, and spiritual practices, Ayurveda focuses on balancing the body and mind through doshas, guna, prana, agni, and marma. Together, they form a complete system for achieving optimal health. However, integrating the two can often feel overwhelming or confusing. This course bridges that gap, providing practical insights into using Yogic techniques like asana, pranayama, and mudra through the lens of Ayurvedic wisdom.

Empowering Yoga Practitioners and Ayurveda Counselors

This training empowers Yoga practitioners to incorporate Ayurvedic principles into their practice, broadening their skill set with confidence. Similarly, it enables Ayurveda counselors to deepen their understanding of Yoga. Like two eyes offering different perspectives, Ayurveda and Yoga illuminate each other, revealing a holistic approach to health. You’ll explore how concepts like doshas, prana, and agni enhance Yoga practices and how marma and gunas can be applied to daily life and therapeutic settings.

Making Ayurveda and Yoga Accessible

This course transforms the theory of Ayurveda and Yoga into practical tools for self-care, Yoga therapy, and teaching. By understanding Ayurveda as the thesis on Yoga and Yoga as the practicum on Ayurveda, you’ll bridge the gap between the two sciences, integrating them seamlessly into your life and work.

A Transformational Journey

The 50-hour Essential Ayurveda Training is designed to enrich your knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda while inspiring personal growth. Learn to live Ayurveda in day-to-day life, walking the path of the Rishis and Yogis. Join me on this journey to deepen your practice, empower yourself, and inspire others through your own transformation. What is Ayurveda? How does the 5 elements come about? Learn the concept of Tridosha as it applies to your body. There are specific markers of dosha balance and imbalance at the physical, mental, emotional and pranic level. This day will focus on all of this and the concept of self-care in Ayurveda. We will explore a special 10 step Ayurvedic sacred ritual and routine to maintain health for the solar and lunar cycles. A must first step into Ayurveda as it applies to you and Yoga.

April 24, Day 0 (4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.): Introduction and Welcome

How we digest, suppress, process or repress these experiences affects our cellular intelligence, tissue health and digestive fire. This day is dedicated to bringing about a clear understanding of body from the lens of Ayurveda, understanding the 7 tissues which makes up the body as discussed in Ayurvedic texts, the practices to address imbalances related to the tissue, the 40 types of Agni and 14 channels. May 31, Day 4 (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.): Samkhya Philosophy and Yoga Practices

Samkhya Darshan is the foundational philosophy that underpins both Yoga and Ayurveda. Understanding, respecting, and applying this philosophy is essential for staying true to the essence of these practices. Without it, we risk diluting or misinterpreting the teachings. In my 20 years of studying Yoga, Ayurveda, and wisdom traditions, Samkhya has kept me grounded, focused, and sincere in my pursuit of deeper wisdom. I often describe Samkhya with a simple phrase: “If you don’t mind, it does not matter.” This philosophy offers clarity and direction, ensuring we stay aligned with our true purpose in practice and life.

On this day, participants will be guided through three practice sessions designed to help you embody and understand the theory of Marma points in asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, meditation, and shavasana.
