Truth, Responsibility and Illusion of being a Yoga Teacher

Have you ever doubted yourself as a Yoga teacher or maybe felt like an imposter? A couple hundred hours of training can be a good start or a first committed step towards being a sincere student, however, it can feel wobbly as a teacher.

Being and becoming a Yoga Teacher is a process that takes years, decades, maybe even lifetimes of dedication, study, and practice. The gravity of the title may seem overwhelming if you are a budding student who has begun to realize that in a short time, you can neither understand the depth of yoga nor do justice to its deep roots and the culture it comes from. Often this leads to self-doubt or second-guessing Yoga. In either case, we have failed the first step of Yoga as a teacher, community, and society. We have knowingly/unknowingly caused harm, we missed ahimsa, the first step— it’s no wonder we wobble.

What is the solution? Take refuge in truth and be mindful of the responsibility and illusion of being a Yoga Teacher. Instead of creating the illusion of mastery, can we stay rooted in basics? In this session, learn how we can be truly impactful and truthful with our practice and teachings. How do we share in a way that is not building hierarchy but bridges? How do we inspire minds instead of creating dependency? Why does our intention alone not matter? We must constantly evaluate and reevaluate our impact. Be the Yoga you wish to see in the world!

This immersive series of workshops is designed exclusively for yoga teachers seeking to enhance their leadership skills and amplify their impact.

This event is a Live Virtual Event and all sessions will be recorded and participants will have access for 30 days. The Zoom link is the same for all of the classes throughout the day, please feel free to attend any or all sessions! This event is non-refundable.
